1949 – Easy Lift Mobile Stretcher launched and built in Medina Ohio
1957 – The first chair Model 3000 Inval-aid Chair introduced
1962 – Collapsing stretcher develop for ambulance applications
1968 – Unicare stretcher models introduced to the market
1973 – Unicare bed models introduction
1978 – Introduction of Hausted’s first critical care bed with scale
1981 – First radiolucent bed was introduced to critical care to facilitate fluoroscopic procedures
1987 – The APC, All Purpose Chair was introduced and eliminated the need to laterally transfer patients
1997 – Horizon series stretcher line introduced to the market
1998 – Hausted was acquired by Steris, moved to Montgomery, Alabama
2010 – Hausted Patient Handling, LLC is created to maintain the tradition started in 1949
2013 – GF Health Products, Inc. acquires Hausted. GF moves the manufacturing of the Hausted product line to GF’s manufacturing facility in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin where GF manufactures its Basic American Medical Products® line of beds for Extended Care facilities. Coincidentally, GF was already a long time manufacturer of component parts for Hausted.
